Duchess Swan nukke / Duchess Swan doll

Duchess kuuluu nelosaaltoon, on hyvin vaalea ja hän on Cerisen Hood:n lailla normaalia pidempi. Hänellä on mustat hiukset valkoisella ja laventelilla raidalla toisin kuin ohjelmassa jossa hänellä on pääasiassa valkoiset hiukset laventelilla ja mustalla raidalla. Jakaus on vasemmalla mutta hiukset on kerätty oikealle puolen poninhännäksi. Pieni suortuva laventelia ja mustaa on jätetty oikealla puolen tippumaan kasvojen viereen.
Väreissä Duchess luottaa vaaleaan laventeliin ja vaaleanpunaiseen, mustaan ja valkoiseen. Hän pitää höyhenistä, helmistä ja rypytyksistä.
Nuken mukana tulee hopeinen standi ja harja.

Duchess is from fourth wave, has very light skin and like Cerise Hood, she is taller than normal. She has black hair with white and lavender stripe unlike in the show where she has white hair with lavender and black stripes. She has parting on the left but her hair  is gathered to the right in a ponytail. A strand of lavender and black is kept to drop next to her face.
In colours Duchess trusts in light lavender, light pink, black and white. She likes feathers, pearls and ruffles. 
The doll comes with a silver stand and brush.

Duchessilla on ruskeat silmät.
Ohjelmassa hänellä on harmaa luomiväri ja kirkkaanpunaiset huulet. Nukella on sen sijaan pinkkiä luomiväriä ja punaiset huulet joiden alahuulen keskusta on vaaleanpunainen. Kulmat ovat muotoiltu pehmeän kaaren sijaan antamaan terävämmän, juonittelevamman ilmeen. Ihana että hänen persoonansa on otettu tässä huomioon.

Duchess has brown eyes.
In the show she has grey eyeshadow and bright red lips. The doll on the other hand has pink eyeshadow and red lips where the center of her lower lip is light pink. The eyebrows are shaped instead of the normal, gentle curve to give her a more sharp, scheming look. I love that they have token her personality in the look. 

Mekon yläosa on vaalean laventelin värinen valkoisella koristekuviolla ja terävällä etuosalla helmaan. Olkaimet ovat mustat nauhat joissa on vaaleanpunaiset tyllirypytykset. Samaa tylliä on lyhyet puoliympyrän muotoiset palat helman päällä. Helma koostuu kahdesta kerroksesta jonka alimmainen kerros laventelin värinen mustalla verkkokuviolla. Tämän päällä on laventelin värinen tylli jossa on valkeita höyheniä, tähtiä, pisteitä ja pyörteitä. Tylliin on myös painettu mustia tähtiä ja pisteitä. Hänellä on mustat verkkosukkahousut.
Mekko eroaa ohjelman mekosta vyöllä, ohjelmassa hänellä on vain musta nyöritys edessä. Hänen helmansa on myös hieman erilainen; tylli on laventelin värinen kerros jossa on valkeita höyheniä ja mustia tähtiä ja sen alla on pidempi, musta tyllialushame. Hänellä on myös ohjelmassa valkoiset sukkahousut.

The top of the dress is light lavender with white decorative pattern and sharp v-shaped hemline. Straps are thin and black with light pink tulle ruffles. The same tulle are the half circle pieces on top of the hem. The hem is in two layers where the lower hem is lavender with black net pattern. On top is a lavender tulle with white feathers, stars, dots and swirls. In the tulle is also black stars and dots. She wears black fishnet stockings.
The dress differs from the dress in the show with the belt, in show she only has black lacing in the front. Her hem is a bit different too; tulle is lavender hem with white feathers and black stars and under that she had a longer, black, tulle under hem. She also has white stockings in the show.

Yllättävää (tai ei) mutta tällaisia kenkiä on oikeasti olemassa. (Olen yrittänyt löytää itselleni parin muttei minun koossa tahdo löytyä) Nämä ovat kuulemma jopa aika mukavat kävellä. Ja tanssijalle pikkujuttu, Duchess on tottunut olemaan varpaillaan muutenkin.
Kengät ovat mustat, korottomat platformit joissa on vahva kuviointi ja pieni musta rusetti edessä. Kengät sidotaan nilkan ympärille paksulla, vaalean lilalla kankaalla. (Sidontatyyli muistuttaa itseasiassa kuinka kärkitossut sidotaan.) Ohjelmassa nauha on tumman violetti.

Surprising (or not) but this kind of shoes exists. (I have been trying to find myself a pair but they don't seem to do them in my size.) I've heard these are even quite comfortable to walk in. And for a dancer it's not a big deal. Duchess is used being en pointe anyway. 
The shoes are black, heelless platforms with deep decorative pattern and black bow in front. The shoes are tied around the ankle with a thick, light lilac ribbon. (Actually the way it is tied reminds of the way you tie your ballet shoes.)
In the show the ribbon is dark violet. 

Päässään hänellä on mustan sulan muotoinen hiuspanta josta tippuu eteen musta helminauha. Oikealla puolella hänellä on vaaleanpunainen koriste jossa on höyheniä ylös- ja alaspäin, koristekivi kolmella lehdellä ja oletettavasti jotain heiluvaa kangasta tai lisää lehtiä sen takana. Tuosta pumpulitupon näköisestä pyörylästä ei ole mitään hajua mikä se voisi olla.
Ohjelmassa hänen pään ympäri menee valkoinen helminauha jossa on koru joka muistuttaa päähineen kivikorua, sekä muutama erivärinen höyhen.

As a headdress she has a black feather headband from which drops a string of black pearls. On the right there is a light pink decoration with feathers going up and down, a jewel with three leaves and I'd assume some flowy fabric or more leaves behind it. About that cotton ball look-a-like I have no idea. 
In the show she has white strand of pearls around her head where is a jewel with three leaves and few different coloured feather.

Duchessilla on muihin Kuninkaallisiin eroten hopeiset ja mustat korut. Hänen korvakorut ovat hopeiset joissa on koristekivi josta tippuu kolme höyhentä. Hänen kaulakorunsa on musta, höyhenin koristeltu helminauha jonka keskellä on suurempi koristekivi koristeellisella taustalla ja josta tippuu pieni helmi.
Ohjelmassa hänen korvakorunsa muistuttaa nuolenkärkiä ja hänellä on yksinkertainen musta nauha kaulan ympärillä josta roikkuu pisaran muotoinen, violetti kivi.

Differing from other Royals Duchess has silver and black jewellery. Her earrings are silver with a stone from where three feathers drop down. Her necklace is black, decorated with feathers and a pearl string. In the middle there is a jewel with decorative borders and a small pearl dropping down. 
In the show she has earrings that looks like an arrowhead and she has a simple, black strap around her throat from where drops a violet, tear-shaped jewel.

Vyössä on ala- sekä yläosassa höyhenkoristelu ja sisäpuolen aukkoa vasten helminauha. Yläpuolella helminauha on roikkuva ja kiinnittyy höyheniin kerran. Yläreunassa on koristekivi kolmen lehden kanssa (joka on myös hänen päähineessään) josta lähtee keskiosan koristeelliset kiinnitysosiot ja kahdet ristiin menevät nauhat.
Minä pidän tästä vyöstä vaikka se tuntuu olevan nukelle hieman liian suuri mutta minusta se on kuitenkin kauniisti toteutettu.

In the belt there is a feather decoration on the outside and towards the hole in the middle a strand of pearls. Up the pearls are loose and attached to the feathers only once.On front top corner there is a stone and three leaves (like in her headdress) from where leaves the decorated attachments to the laces going cross twice in front.
I like this belt even though it looks a bit too big for the doll but I think it's beautifully made. 

Duchessin hopeinen joutsensormus on aivan ihana. Hänellä ei ole näitä koruja ohjelmassa mutta olen todella iloinen että nukella on. Rannekoru on kaksi hopeista rypytettyä kerrosta joista tippuu pyöreä joutsen amuletti.

Duchess's silver swan ring is absolutely adorable. She doesn't have these jewellery in the show but I'm really glad the doll has them. The bracelet is two layers of ruffles from where drops a round, silver swan amulet.

Käsilaukussa on aika paljon meneillään... Itse laukku on vaaleanpunaista, rypytettyä pitsiä. Läppä on valkoinen, helmin koristeltu ja keskellä on joutsenen kuva. Kahvojen päässä on taas ne oudot tupsut ja kolme helmeä ja itse kahva on helminauha.
Laukku on kaunis mutta hieman täyteen tungettu yksityiskohtia. Yksinkertainen helmikahva rauhoittaisi ilmettä jo paljon.

There is a lot going on with the handbag... The bag itself is pink, ruffled lace. The flap is white, decorated with pearls and a swan in the middle. In the ends of the handle there is the odd puffs again and three pearls. The handle itself is a row of pearls. 
The bag is pretty but stuffed a bit too full of details. A simple pearl handle without the puffs would improve it a lot already.

Duchess Swan

Duchess on Joutsenprinsessan tytär tarinasta joka perustuu balettiin Joutsenlampi. Ei ole täysin selvää perustuuko hahmo pelkästään tarinaan vai onko hän sekoitus tarinan ja baletin hahmoa. (Hän on monimutkainen hahmo.)
Duchess on kuninkaallinen ja katkera siitä että hän on ainoa kuninkaallinen joka ei saa onnellista loppua ja yrittää täten varastaa sen muilta Kuninkaallisilta (koska Kapinalliset eivät ole hänen silmissään yhtä hyviä ja hän ei halua olla pahis). Hänen mielestään hänen tarinansa ei myöskään saa tarpeeksi arvostusta. Hänelle on vinkattu että tarinassa on musta sekä valkea joutsen ja Duchess voisi valita myös Odilen (musta joutsen) roolin ja täten saada onnellisen loppunsa. Hän kuitenkin haluaa pysyä Kuninkaallisena vaikka kohtalonsa muuttaminen tekeekin hänestä käytännössä Kapinallisen. Duchess on erityisen hanakka Ashlynn Ellan onnellisen lopun (eli oikean prinssin) perään koska Ashlynn kapinoi omaa tarinaansa vastaan valitsemalla Hunterin.

Duchess is the daughter of Swan Princess from a tale based on ballet Swan Lake. It's not completely clear is the character based plainly on the story or is she a mix from the story and ballet. (She's complicated.)
Duchess is a Royal and bitter that she's the only one without a Happily Ever After and thus tries to steal it from other Royals (as she thinks Rebels aren't good enough and she doesn't want to be a villain). She also feels her story doesn't get enough recognition. It has been told to her that her story has both black and white swan and she could pick Odile's story (black swan) and get her Happily Ever After. She still rather remains Royal though trying to change her destiny basically makes her a Rebel. Duchess is very keen after Ashlynn Ella's ending (the real prince) as Ashlynn rebels against her story by choosing Hunter.

Duchess rakastaa balettia ja tanssimista ja onkin erinomainen molemmissa. Hän pystyy tanssimaan veden päällä sekä muuttumaan joutseneksi. (Tosin hän muuttuu aina mustaksi joutseneksi, ei valkoiseksi kuten Odetten kuuluisi.) Hän arvostaa eleganssia ja kauneutta mutta ei itse aina ole kumpaakaan. Jos hän nolostuu tai joutuu laulamaan hänen äänensä muuttuu joutsenen huudoksi. Duchesilla ei ole muita ystäviä kuin Sparrow Hood, Robin Hoodin poika, joka hänkin saa välillä juonittelevasta ja pahanilkisestä ystävästään tarpeeksi sekä Faybelle Thorn (jonka tulette myöhemmin tapaamaan). Ashlynn Ella ja Hunter Hunstman joskus auttavat häntä jos kyseessä on luonnon tasapaino, se on ainoa näitä kolmea yhdistävä asia.

Duchess loves ballet and dancing and is great at both. She can dance on water and change into a swan. (Though she always turns into a black swan, never white like Odette should). She appreciates elegance, beauty and grace but sometimes she's none of those. If she gets embarrassed or has to sing her voice turns into swan's honking. Duchess has no other friends but Sparrow Hood, son of Robin Hood and even he get's sometimes enough of the plotting and malicious friend. She's also friends with Faybelle Thorn who you will meet later. Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman sometimes helps her if the balance of nature is in danger, that's the only thing in common with these three.

Duchessista tuli suoraan yksi lempihahmoistani ei pelkästään siksi että hän on baletista, vaan juurikin tämän kamppailun takia onko hän valkoinen vai musta joutsen? Ohjelma on täynnä vihjeitä siitä että Duchess olisi musta joutsen. Hänen esittelykuvansa esittää hänet kapinallisena ja mustana joutsenena. Hänen nukkeboxissaan hänen valkoisella joutsenella on hyvin tarkka ja suuri musta varjo, kuin kääntöpuoli. Nukkeboxi esitteleekin hänet molempina; valkoisena joutsenena tarinansa mukaan mutta suuttuessaan mustana joutsenena. Duchessin luonne on suoraan kuin Odilella, ei nöyrä ja hyvä kuten Odetella. Hänen ulkonäkönsä ja juhlamekkonsa on valkoiselle joutsenelle sopiva mutta kiltteys tulee hyvin pakotetusti häneltä ja heti kun hänen ei ole pakko esittää hyvää, hän lopettaa sen.

Duchess became instantly one of my favourite characters not just because she's from a ballet but for the complex story behind the girl; is she the white or black swan? The show is full of hints that she would be the black swan. Her introduction picture shows her as a Rebel and as a black swan. Her dollbox has a white swan with very dark and noticeable shadow, like the other side of the coin. The box does presents her as both; white swan who turns to the black swan when she gets angry. She has temper and nature like Odile, not good and humble like Odette has. Her looks and dresses fits the white swan but if she has to be nice she really has to force it. The moment she doesn't have to pretend she drops the act. 

Uusimmat tulokkaat / The newcomers

Miusta tuntuu etten ikinä pääse hehkuttamaan uusia nukkeja joita saan joten nyt aina laitan kuvan mitä olen saanut mutta esittelyt ja arvostelut tulevat sitten myöhemmin. Nyt alennuksista olen napannut pitkään kuolaamani Hat-Tastic Cerise Hoodin, Birthday Ball Duchess Swan joutuu customiksi, koska signature Duchessista on hyvin vaikea tehdä Odettea. (Vaikka se onkin hänen kohtalonsa... Kuka oikeasti uskoo siihen edes?) Ja syksyllä julkaistavasta Epic Winter elokuvasta talvikeijut olivat jo tulleet ja edullisesti! <3 En tiedä mikä idea tuolla Foxannen pinkillä otsalla on mutta luulen että mie pyyhin sen pois. Mut odotan ensin elokuvan ja katson sitten mitä teen.

I feel like I can never rejoice of my new dolls with others so I'll now put a picture everytime I found or get something new. The reviews comes on their own time. Now from the sales I have caught long wanted Hat-Tastic Cerise Hood, Birthday Ball Duchess Swan goes as custom as it's nearly impossible to make Odette from signature Duchess. (Even though that's her destiny... Who believes that even anymore?) And this autumn comes new movie Epic Winter but the Winter Fairies has came and weren't costing arm and leg! <3 I don't know what's the deal with Foxanne's pink forehead but I think I'll swipe it off. But first I'll wait the movie and then decide.
