Rosabella Beauty

Rosabella Beauty on Kaunottaren ja Hirviön tytär samannimisestä sadusta. Hänet luokitellaan Kapinalliseksi koska hän on aktiivinen vähempiosaisten puolestapuhuja eikä piittaa kuka hänen prinssisnsä tulee olemaan, jos tulee. Hän kuitenkin käyttäytyy tarinansa mukaan nähden pintaa syvemmälle ja osoittaen jokaiselle että he ovat rakastamisen arvoisia. Vaikka ohjelmassa tämä ei selville oikein tule, hän on Briar Beauty:n serkku. 

Rosabella Beauty is the daughter of Beauty and the Beast from a fairytale with same name. She is labelled Rebel as she defends fiercely the weaker and underdogs and doesn't care who her prince will be, if will. She does act like her legacy tells her to as she sees more than what's on surface and shows everyone they're worth loving. Even though in the show this doesn't come very clear, she is Briar Beauty's cousin.

Hän on sovittelija ja ensimmäinen joka syöksyy toimintaan jos epäoikeudenmukaisuutta on havaittavissa. Hänellä on erityisen pehmeä kohta eläimiä kohtaan. Hän tuntuu olevan loputtoman lempeä ja auttavainen muita kohtaan mutta hän osoittaa myös luonnollisia johtajan piirteitä.

Rosabella is an activist who has an ability to see the true feelings or being of others as a colourful aura around them. She is a negotiator and the first one to rush in action if there's injustice happening. She has a specially soft spot for animals. She seems to be endlessly gentle and helpful towards others but she also shows features of a natural leader.

Pidän Rosabellasta, hän on ihan kuin minä noina teinivuosina. On hienoa että näytetään myös idealistisempaa puolta ihmisistä, jotakuta joka on vahvasti kantaa ottava muuhunkin kuin kohtaloihin. Ihmettelen että meni näin pitkään että hahmo niin suuresta sadusta esiteltiin ohjelmassa. Mistä en pidä Rosabellassa on että vaikka hän on loistava yhdistelmä vanhempiensa piirteitä, hän on vain hyvä. Hänessä ei ole virheitä ja se saa hänet tylsäksi. Minusta on myös ironista että tyttö joka puolustaa eläimiä ja jonka isä on Hirviö käyttää niin paljon turkista vaatetuksessaan, vaikka se olisikin tekoturkista.

I like Rosabella, she's just like me on those teenage years. It's great that they show also more idealistic side of people, someone who takes strongly side to something other than just the destinies. I wondered how it took so long to bring in someone from such a big story. What I don't like in Rosabella is that even though she is a great combination of her parent's features, she's just good. She doesn't have flaws and that makes her boring. But what I find ironic is that that a girl who speaks for and loves animals and whose father is the Beast uses so much fur in her clothing. Even if it would be fake. 

Faybelle Thorn

Faybelle Thorn on Pahan Keijun tytär tarinasta 'Prinsessa Ruusunen' tai 'Pieni Briar Rose'. Hän on Kuninkaallinen, hän on tarinan pahis ja äärimmäisen ylpeä siitä. Hän haluaa tulla todelliseksi pahikseksi, olla tittelinsä veroinen ja luoda pelkoa missä hänen nimensä mainitaan. Hän on hyvin määrätietoinen ja häikäilemätön halutessaan jotain. Hän on suuri Pahan Kuningattaren fani ja tekisi mitä tahansa tehdäkseen tähän vaikutuksen ja saadakseen häneltä oppeja pahuudessa. Hän halveksii Kapinallisia pahiksia sillä ei voi ymmärtää kuinka joku ei haluaisi olla tarinan pelätyin hahmo? 

Faybelle Thorn is the daughter of the Dark Fairy from 'Sleeping Beauty' or 'Little Briar Rose'. She is Royal, she is the bad guy and extremely proud of it. She wants to become a true villain, be worth the title and create fear where ever her name is mentioned. She is very determined and ruthless when she wants something. She is a big fan of the Evil Queen and would do anything to impress her and get lessons in how to be the baddest villain of all. She looks down on Rebel villains as she can't understand why someone wouldn't want to be the most feared and powerful one in the story?

Faybelle on koulun huutosakin kapteeni ja hän on hyvin innostunut huutosakista ja sen johtamisesta. Koska hän on aito keiju hän omaa keijujen taikavoimia ja on huomannut jos hän luo taian tai kirouksen huutosakin tyyliin, se on paljon vahvempi. Hän luonnollisesti keijuna osaa myös lentää. Vaikka Faybelle on paha ja toimii sen mukaisesti, hän ymmärtää myös hyvän arvon. Hän on ylpeä mutta pystyy nöyrtymään pyytääkseen anteeksi. Hän tulee olemaan se joka vaivuttaa Briar Beautyn 100 vuoden uneen mutta on kuitenkin hänen ystävänsä. Kun hän on todellisen pahuuden edessä hän aina epäröi hieman vaikka hänen määrätietoisuutensa ottaakin vallan ja hän seuraa pahuutta. Faybelle is the captain of the school's cheerleading squad and loves cheerleading more than anything. As she is a real fairy she has fairy magic and she has noticed if she cheers the spell or curse it is way more powerful. As a fairy she can naturally also fly. Even though Faybelle is a villain and tries to act like one she does understand the value of good too. She is proud but can humble to apologize. She will curse Briar Beauty to sleep for 100 years but is still her friend. When she faces true evil she always hesitates a second even though her ambitiousness takes control and she aims and follows bad. Even in all her selfishness she can turn and help the good to win. After all, she likes her school mates and deep down doesn't want to hurt them. At least not yet.

Faybelle on loistava hahmo jo sen takia että hän on aito pahis joka haluaa olla pahis. Pahoja Kuninkaallisia kun valitettavasti ei sarjassa oikein ole joten hän on raikas lisä joukkoon. Hän on moniulotteinen hahmo joka tekee hänestä kiinnostavan. Hän on sarkastinen, ilkeä ja vihainen mutta voi kuitenkin olla se joka pelastaa päivän. Vain paha hahmo olisi tylsä. Hän on itseriittoinen vaikka on ulkoasultaan yksi yksinkertaisimmista hahmoista. Se mikä häneltä ehkä ulkoisesti puuttuu hän kyllä kompensoi luonteessaan. Faybelle ei ole suosikkini, mutta arvostan suuresti näin hyvin luotua hahmoa.

Faybelle is a brilliant character as she is a villain who wants to be a villain! Bad Royals aren't much out in the show so she is a fresh add to the group. She is complicated character so she's interesting. She is sarcastic, mean, angry but still can be the one who saves the day. A plain evil villain kid would be boring. She is self-absorbed even though from her looks she is one of the most simple ones. What she lacks in showing outfits and jewels she makes up in her personality. She isn't my favourite but I highly respect a character this well made. 

Darling Charming

Darling Charming on Kuningas ja Kuningatar Charmingin, yhden Ever Afterin tärkeimmän suvun, tytär. Hän on Dexterin kaksoissisko toisten lähteiden mukaan, toisten lähteiden mukaan pikkusisko. Hänellä on myös toinen, vanhin veli Daring. Kuten jälkimmäinenkin, Darling on täydellisyyden perikuva. Sadut ovat tulvillaan avuttomia neitoja ja Darlingista on kasvatettu tulemaan heistä paras ja kaunein. Darling on Kapinallinen sillä hänellä on kohtalolleen muita suunnitelmia.

Darling Charming is the daughter of King and Queen Charming, one of the most important families in Ever After. Some information says she is Dexter's twin sister, some says she's his little sister. She also has the eldest brother, Daring. Like him, she is the picture perfection. Fairytales are filled with damsels in distress and Darling has been brought up to the the most beautiful and best of them all. Darling is a Rebel as she has other plans for her future.

Darling on täydellinen neito; kohtelias, vaatimaton, hyvä opiskelija, ystävällinen ja kantaa itsensä ja sukunsa nimen ylpeydellä. Hän on myös utelias, rohkea, itsepäinen, seikkailunhaluinen ja haluaa ritariksi neidon sijaan. Hän on hyvä salaamaan toisen puolensa muilta, jopa Dexteriltä joka on hänelle hyvin läheinen. Hän on hyvin päättäväinen eikä anna minkään tulla hänen ja unelmansa väliin, mutta hän ei koskaan alennu pelaamaan likaista peliä. Hän viihtyy parhaiten muiden kapinallisten kanssa joilla on salattavaa kuten Cerisen ja Ravenin. Hän kuitenkin on avoin ja ystävällinen kaikkia kohtaan.

Darling is a perfect maiden; polite, modest, good student, friendly and carries herself and her family name with pride. She is also curious, brave, stubborn, adventurous and wants to become a knight who saves the day instead of damsel. She is good hiding this side from others, even from Dexter who is very close to her. She is determined and doesn't let anything come in between her and her dream but she'd never play foul game to gain it. She hangs mostly around other Rebels who has things to hide like Cerise and Raven. She is still open and friendly to everyone.

Darling on kuin täydellinen versio miusta, joten ei ihme että rakastuin hahmoon heti. Hänellä on kuitenkin minua ärsyttävä, hänelle sopiva hento mutta ei sopiva kimittävä ääni. Hänellä ei ole neitona paljon ruutuaikaa, mutta sellaisenaan hän on välillä liian stereotyyppinen neito. Toisaalta hän on hauska salaillessaan toista puoltaan tai olemalla hieman sarkastisella puolella kun kaikki ihailevat hänen veljeään. Kun hän pääsee olemaan oikea, oma itsensä neitouden parhaat puolet istuvat saumattomasti hänen ritaripuoleensa ja hän pääsee hahmona loistamaan. Hän on ehkä liian täydellinen mutta koska pidän hänestä niin paljon en kiinnitä siihen huomiota.

Darling is like a perfect version of me so no wonder I fell in love with the character right away. She though has a faint voice befitting for her but it's also high pitched which annoys me. She doesn't have much screentime as plain damsel she is brought up to be but like that she is a bit too stereotypical damsel. Though she is fun while she hides her other side and is on a bit sarcastic side when everyone loves her brother. When she is her true self her best sides from being a damsel sits seamlessly to her knight -side and she shines as a character. She might be too perfect all in all but as I like her so much I don't pay attention to it.

Alistair Wonderland

Alistair Wonderland on Liisan poika tarinasta Liisa Ihmemaassa. Hän on Kuninkaallinen vaikka asuukin jo valmiiksi Ihmemaassa. Hän rakastaa arvoituksia ja mysteerejä ja tutkii kaiken eriskummallisen tai Ihmemaan tapauksessa normaalin löytääksen mysteerin ratkaistavaksi. Hän on myös hyvä ratkaisemaan kaiken tielleen tulevan. Hän on utelias ja haluaa tutkia kartan ulkopuolella olevaa maailmaa. Hän on rohkea, joskus uhkarohkeakin, hyvin lojaali ystävilleen, epäitsekäs mutta joskus epäileväinen uusia ihmisiä kohtaan. Hän viihtyy parhaiten läheisimpien ystäviensä seurassa tai itsekseen. Hän myös on epäileväinen ruokia ja juomia kohtaan koska hän pelkää että jokin niistä vielä kutistaa tai suurentaa hänet.

Alistair Wonderland is Alice's son from the story Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. He is a Royal even though he lives already in the Wonderland. He loves mysteries and riddles and explores everything out of ordinary, or in Wonderland's case, normal to find a mystery to solve. He is also very good at solving things coming to his way. He is curious and wants to explore all that isn't explored yet. He is brave, sometimes foolishly, fiercely loyal to his friends, unselfish but sometimes suspicious towards others. He prefers the company of his closest friends or being alone. He also can be suspicious towards food and drinks as he fears they will shrink or grow him.

Poikia on ohjelmassa pääosassa hyvin vähän joten he ovat hieman suurennuslasin alla mutta heillä on myös enemmän mahdollisuuksia loistaa ja tuoda itseään esille. Alistair on yhden suosikkitarinani suosikkihahmon poika, seikkailija, ainekset kaikkeen josta olisin todella innoissani ja haluaisin pitää hänestä mutta valitettavasti hän jää hyvin pinnalliseksi. Hän on komea, mukava, lojaali, hauska... Kuin naapurin poika joka on liian täydellinen. Hänen päiväkirjassaan hän näyttää inhimillisempää puolta epäillessään itseään ja hermoillessaan että hän ei ole mikään sankari joksi kaikki häntä luulee mutta tämäkin käännettiin hänen voitokseen. Hän tarvitsisi heikkouksia, inhimillisempää puolta jolloin hän voisi loistaa hahmona. Nyt tekee mieli vain näyttää kieltä.

There is fewer boys in spotlight in the show so they are under tighter observation but they also have better chances to bring theirselves out. Alistair is the son of one of my favourite story favourite character, adventurer, everything that I could be excited about him and like him and I'd like to like him but no. He's handsome, nice, loyal, fun... Like the boy next door who is just too perfect. And that's the problem, he's one note; perfect. In his diary he shows more human side of himself while he doubts himself and is nervous that he's not the hero all thinks he is but even that is turned to his victory. He would need some weaknesses, something to be more relatable so he could shine as a character. Now I just want to show my tongue at him.

Bunny Blanc

Bunny Blanc on Valkoisen Kanin tytär Liisa Ihmemaasta. Hän on Kuninkaallinen ja pitää kohtalostaan vaikka hän onkin isänsä vastakohta; hän on rauhallinen eikä stressaa kellosta sillä hän on aina missä pitääkin olla juuri oikeaan aikaan vaikka hänellä ei suuntavaistoa olekaan. Hän pystyy muuntautumaan kaniksi ja muistelisin hänen sanoneen että hänellä onkin kaksi onnea tuovaa kanin jalkaa joka saa hänet olemaan aina ajoissa.
Hän on hyvin ujo ja kuten kanit, säikkyy herkästi. Hän onkin osaltaan hyvin riippuvainen ystävistään. Muuten hän on hyvin avulias ja kiltti, ja vaikka viihtyykin parhaiten parhaan ystävänsä seurassa hänellä ei ole ongelmia ystävystyä muiden kanssa.

Bunny Blanc is the daughter of the White Rabbit from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She's Royal and likes her destiny even though she is the opposite of her father; she's calm and doesn't stress about the clock as she is always where she should be in just the right time and never late even though she doesn't have any sense of direction. She change to a bunny and I recall she has said she has two lucky rabbit foot making her be in time. 
She is very shy and like rabbits, is startled easily. This makes her dependent of her friends. Otherwise she is very helpful, nice, sweet girl. Even though she prefers the company of her best friend the best she doesn't have troubles making new friends.

Bunny on saanut suhteellisen paljon ruutuaikaa mutta hänen hahmonsa on pysynyt ujona, säikkynä kanina. Myöskään päiväkirjat tai muut lähteet eivät ole syventäneet hahmoa vaikka todella toivoisin että hänestä kerrottaisiin enemmän. Bunny on mielenkiintoinen mutta jätetty tylsäksi sivuhahmoksi. Pidän todella paljon Bunnyn ulkonäöstä ja että hänet on näytetty mm. Lizzie Hearts:n Spring Unsprung kirjan taustassa ennen nuken julkaisua.

Bunny has got quite much screentime but she has remained as a shy, skittish rabbit. Not even the diaries or other sources has given more depth to the character even though I really wish there would be more of her. Bunny is interesting character but left as a dull side character. I really like how Bunny looks and that she was shown in Lizzie Heart's Spring Unsprung book's back way before the doll was launched.

Ginger Breadhouse

Ginger Breadhouse on ilkeän noidan (joka asuu piparkakkutalossa) tytär tarinasta Hannu ja Kerttu. Hän on Kapinallinen sillä hän rakastaa leipoa herkkuja ja jakaa niitä ystäviensä kesken epäitsekkäästi ja vailla jekkuja. Hän on erityisen hyvä leipuri ja noitana pystyy laittamaan taikoja leipomuksiinsa mutta hän laittaa vain hyviä taikoja. Ever Afterin kuuluisin ruokakriitikkokin rakastaa Gingerin leipomuksia. Hän on hieman ujo mutta iloinen, hyväsydäminen, positiivinen ja yrittää kovasti saada ystäviä. Hänellä on hieman vaikeuksia siinä tarinansa takia.

Ginger Breadhouse is the daughter of the Candy Witch from Hansel and Gretel. She is a Rebel as she loves to bake goods and share them unselfishly and without tricks. She is a great baker and as a witch she can cast spells to the baked goods but she only casts nice ones. Even Ever Afters most famous food critic loves her baking. She is a bit shy but happy, good-hearted, positive and tries hard to make new friends. She has a bit trouble with it due her destiny.

Ginger on hahmona söpö mutta saa hyvin vähän ruutuaikaa joten hahmo on aika ontto. Onneksi hänestä on enemmän kirjoissa mutta hän silti jää vain kiltiksi tytöksi joka haluaa hyvää kaikille ja leipoa hyvää. Hän ei lukeudu suosikkihahmoihini mutta on suloinen lisä oppilaisiin tunnetusta sadusta.
Pidän hänen nimestään ja sanaleikistä siinä sillä jos hänen etu- ja sukunimensä laittaa yhteen se tarkoittaa piparkakkutaloa. Hän myös on herkkuaiheisine vaatteineen ja koruineen piparkakkutytön näköinen, joka on minusta loistavasti ajateltu. Hän elää satunsa ulkonäkönsä kautta.

Ginger is an adorable character but gets very little screentime so she's quite hollow. Luckily there is more of her in diaries and books but she still remains as a good girl who wants good to everyone and just bake goods. She isn't one of my favourite characters but she is absolutely cute addition to the students from a well known tale. 
I like the wordplay with her name; Gingerbread house. I also think it's a brilliant idea to make her look like a sweet and delicious gingerbread girl. She truly lives her story through her looks.

Duchess Swan

Duchess on Joutsenprinsessan tytär tarinasta joka perustuu balettiin Joutsenlampi. Ei ole täysin selvää perustuuko hahmo pelkästään tarinaan vai onko hän sekoitus tarinan ja baletin hahmoa. (Hän on monimutkainen hahmo.)
Duchess on kuninkaallinen ja katkera siitä että hän on ainoa kuninkaallinen joka ei saa onnellista loppua ja yrittää täten varastaa sen muilta Kuninkaallisilta (koska Kapinalliset eivät ole hänen silmissään yhtä hyviä ja hän ei halua olla pahis). Hänen mielestään hänen tarinansa ei myöskään saa tarpeeksi arvostusta. Hänelle on vinkattu että tarinassa on musta sekä valkea joutsen ja Duchess voisi valita myös Odilen (musta joutsen) roolin ja täten saada onnellisen loppunsa. Hän kuitenkin haluaa pysyä Kuninkaallisena vaikka kohtalonsa muuttaminen tekeekin hänestä käytännössä Kapinallisen. Duchess on erityisen hanakka Ashlynn Ellan onnellisen lopun (eli oikean prinssin) perään koska Ashlynn kapinoi omaa tarinaansa vastaan valitsemalla Hunterin.

Duchess is the daughter of Swan Princess from a tale based on ballet Swan Lake. It's not completely clear is the character based plainly on the story or is she a mix from the story and ballet. (She's complicated.)
Duchess is a Royal and bitter that she's the only one without a Happily Ever After and thus tries to steal it from other Royals (as she thinks Rebels aren't good enough and she doesn't want to be a villain). She also feels her story doesn't get enough recognition. It has been told to her that her story has both black and white swan and she could pick Odile's story (black swan) and get her Happily Ever After. She still rather remains Royal though trying to change her destiny basically makes her a Rebel. Duchess is very keen after Ashlynn Ella's ending (the real prince) as Ashlynn rebels against her story by choosing Hunter.

Duchess rakastaa balettia ja tanssimista ja onkin erinomainen molemmissa. Hän pystyy tanssimaan veden päällä sekä muuttumaan joutseneksi. (Tosin hän muuttuu aina mustaksi joutseneksi, ei valkoiseksi kuten Odetten kuuluisi.) Hän arvostaa eleganssia ja kauneutta mutta ei itse aina ole kumpaakaan. Jos hän nolostuu tai joutuu laulamaan hänen äänensä muuttuu joutsenen huudoksi. Duchesilla ei ole muita ystäviä kuin Sparrow Hood, Robin Hoodin poika, joka hänkin saa välillä juonittelevasta ja pahanilkisestä ystävästään tarpeeksi sekä Faybelle Thorn (jonka tulette myöhemmin tapaamaan). Ashlynn Ella ja Hunter Hunstman joskus auttavat häntä jos kyseessä on luonnon tasapaino, se on ainoa näitä kolmea yhdistävä asia.

Duchess loves ballet and dancing and is great at both. She can dance on water and change into a swan. (Though she always turns into a black swan, never white like Odette should). She appreciates elegance, beauty and grace but sometimes she's none of those. If she gets embarrassed or has to sing her voice turns into swan's honking. Duchess has no other friends but Sparrow Hood, son of Robin Hood and even he get's sometimes enough of the plotting and malicious friend. She's also friends with Faybelle Thorn who you will meet later. Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman sometimes helps her if the balance of nature is in danger, that's the only thing in common with these three.

Duchessista tuli suoraan yksi lempihahmoistani ei pelkästään siksi että hän on baletista, vaan juurikin tämän kamppailun takia onko hän valkoinen vai musta joutsen? Ohjelma on täynnä vihjeitä siitä että Duchess olisi musta joutsen. Hänen esittelykuvansa esittää hänet kapinallisena ja mustana joutsenena. Hänen nukkeboxissaan hänen valkoisella joutsenella on hyvin tarkka ja suuri musta varjo, kuin kääntöpuoli. Nukkeboxi esitteleekin hänet molempina; valkoisena joutsenena tarinansa mukaan mutta suuttuessaan mustana joutsenena. Duchessin luonne on suoraan kuin Odilella, ei nöyrä ja hyvä kuten Odetella. Hänen ulkonäkönsä ja juhlamekkonsa on valkoiselle joutsenelle sopiva mutta kiltteys tulee hyvin pakotetusti häneltä ja heti kun hänen ei ole pakko esittää hyvää, hän lopettaa sen.

Duchess became instantly one of my favourite characters not just because she's from a ballet but for the complex story behind the girl; is she the white or black swan? The show is full of hints that she would be the black swan. Her introduction picture shows her as a Rebel and as a black swan. Her dollbox has a white swan with very dark and noticeable shadow, like the other side of the coin. The box does presents her as both; white swan who turns to the black swan when she gets angry. She has temper and nature like Odile, not good and humble like Odette has. Her looks and dresses fits the white swan but if she has to be nice she really has to force it. The moment she doesn't have to pretend she drops the act. 

Kitty Cheshire

Kitty on Irvikissan tytär Liisa Ihmemaassa sadusta. Hän on nukeissa nimetty kapinalliseksi, mutta hänen puolensa on kyseenalainen koska hän haluaa olla seuraava Irvikissa ja yrittää parhaansa tehdä kepposia ja olla pahankurinen. Kuten kunnon Irvikissan kuluu hän pystyy katoamaan ja jättämään jälkeensä vain virnistyksen. Pääasiassa hän haluaa näyttää äidilleen että hän voi olla yhtä hyvä seuraava Irvikissa kuin hän. Ihmemaan ystävilleen hän on hyvin lojaali ja loistava ystävä joka ei koskaan jätä heitä pulaan. Muille hän lämpenee hitaammin mutta tulee kaikkien kanssa hyvin toimeen.

Kitty is the daughter of Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. She is names as Rebel in the dolls but her side is questionable as she really wants to be the next Cheshire Cat and does her best to do pranks and be mischievous. As a Cheshire she can disappear and leave behind just a grin. Mostly she wants to show to her mother that she can be as good next Cheshire Cat as she is. To her Wonderlandian friends she is extremely loyal and great friend who would never leave them in trouble. To others she warms up slowly but she gets along with everybody very well.

Kitty on loistava hahmo koska hänestä on helppo olla pitämättä mutta hänestä on silti pakko pitää. Hän on herkempi kuin ulkoapäin näkyy mutta luo silti kaaosta ympärilleen ja pitää kouluelämän mielenkiintoisena. Rakastan hänen lausettaan "Hymyilen koska se pitää ihmiset arvailemassa.". Hän on hyvin kissamainen, mysteerinen, helppolukuinen ja taas täysi mysteeri. Hän on minusta erittäin hyvin sisäistänyt kirjojen Irvikissan luonteen ja hänet on helppo ajatella lapsiversioksi hänestä.
Kitty on ollut vahva hahmo alusta asti ja kasvanut sarjan mukana todella paljon. Kirjojen ja päiväkirjojen myötä hänestä saa hyvin todellisen ja syvällisen hahmon.

Kitty is an excellent character as it's easy not to like her but you just have to like her. She is more sensitive than she gives to understand but she still creates chaos around her and keeps the school life interesting. I love her sentence "I smile because it keeps people guessing.". She is very cat-like, mysterious, open and a mystery again. She represents the Cheshire Cat from the books well, it's easy to think she is the child version. 
Kitty has been a strong character from the beginning and she has grown during the series a lot. With books and diaries you get a real and deep character of her.

Lizzie Hearts on Sydän Kuningattaren (parempi suomennos, kiitos?) tytär Liisa Ihmemaassa -sadusta. Lizzie on kotoisin Ihmemaasta mutta kun Paha Kuningatar langetsi kirouksen maan ylle Lizzie oli yksi harvoista jotka pääsivät pakoon. Hän on Kuninkaallinen, hyvin tietoinen asemastaan tulevana kuningattarena ja kaipaa Ihmemaahan kovasti. Hänen on ollut vaikea totuttautua Ever Afterin tapoihin, mutta hän pitää yllä salaista Ihmemaa puutarhaa joka saa hänet aina iloiseksi. Hän harrastaa edelleen krokettia siileillä ja pystyy rakentamaan mitä vain korteista. Hänellä on oma lemmikkisiili nimeltä Shuffle.

Lizzie Hearts is the daughter of Queen of Hearts from the story 'Alice's adventures in Wonderland'. Lizzie is from Wonderland but when the Evil Queen placed a curse on it Lizzie was one of the rare who got away. She is a Royal and very aware of her station of becoming a queen. She misses her homeland awfully lot and had troubles to settle in to Ever After. One thing that keeps her happy is her secret Wonderland garden. She still plays croquet with hedgehogs and can build whatever from cards. She has a pet hedgehog named Shuffle.

Lizzie on komenteleva, itsetietoinen, aina valmis katkomaan päitä ja vaatii paljon ympärilläolijoiltaan. Hänellä on äidiltään saatu korttipakka jossa on ohje jokaiselle päivälle ja jonka mukaan Lizzie yrittää elää pitääkseen äitinsä ylpeänä. Hän kuitenkin haluaa olla ymmärtäväisempi, hiljaisempi ja rauhallisempi kuningatar. Kun hän ei yritä olla kuningatar hän on hieman ujo mutta ystävällinen tyttö joka jopa suunnittelee asuja ja ompelee ne itse.

Lizzie is commanding, self-assertive, always ready to go off with their heads and she demands a lot from those around her. She has a pack of cards from her mother where is an advice for each day and Lizzie tries to live by the cards to make her mother proud. She still would want to be more understanding, silent and calm queen. When she doesn't try to be a queen she is a bit shy but friendly girl who even has eye for fashion and makes outfits herself. 

Lizzie on yksi suosikkihahmoistani. Hänessä on sisällytetty hänen oma kiltti persoona mutta myös tuleva kuningatar saumattomasti. Hän on hyvin syvällinen ja minusta väärinymmärretty hahmo. Hän pystyy olemaan uskomattoman hauska ollessaan oma, vakava, kuningatarmainen itsensä. Hänessä kohtaavat Ihmemaa ja Ever After luovat mielenkiintoisen farssin jonka ytimessä on hienosti kasvava hahmo.

Lizzie is one of my favourite characters. She has her own kind personality but also her Queen of Hearts personality mixed flawlessly. She is a deep and I think misunderstood character. She can be incredibly funny while being her own, serious, queen self. She is mixture of Wonderland and Ever After which makes an interesting farce , and in the middle of it is a greatly growing character. 

Dexter Charming

Dexter Charming on Kuningas Charminging poika ja Daring ja Darling Charming:n veli. Saduthan ovat tulvillaan hurmaavia prinssejä joten heitä tarvitaan paljon. Dexter on kuninkaallinen ja vailla yksityiskohtaista kohtaloa. Charming:it ovat kuitenkin yksi tärkeimmistä ja kuninkaallisimmista suvuista Ever Afterissa (onhan joka puolin täydellinen Daring alunperin luvattu Apple White:n prinssiksi) joten on vain odotettavissa että Dexter saa suuren tarinan prinssin roolin.

Dexter Charming is the son of King Charming and brother of Daring and Darling Charming. The fairytales are filled with charming princes so they need a lot of them. Dexter is a Royal without a specific destiny. The Charming family is though one of the most important and royal families of Ever After (and the perfect Daring Charming is promised as Apple White's prince) so it's only expected that Dexter will have a big story prince role.

Dexter on ujo ja epävarma sillä hän ei ole luontaisesti paras kaikessa ja vertaa itseään jatkuvasti täydelliseen veljeensä. Hän on hyvin älykäs ja lahjakas teknisten asioiden kanssa. Hän on myös avulias, empaattinen ja toivoton romantikko. Dexterillä on syvän siniset silmät jotka lumoaisivat tytön kuin tytön mutta hän piilottelee silmälasiensa takana jatkuvaan eikä ole tietoinen tästä ominaisuudestaan.

Dexter is shy and insecure as he isn't naturally best at everything and compares himself to his perfect brother all the time. He is very smart and gifted with technical stuff. He is also helpful, emphatic and a hopeless romantic. Dexter has deep blue eyes that would charm any girl but as he hides them behind his glasses he isn't aware of this trait.

Dexter on minun mieleen juurikin koska on ujo nörtti. (Eikä se ole lainkaan pahitteeksi että hän on prinssi.) Voisin hyvin kuvitella jos olisin vielä lapsi että olisin ihastunut Dexteriin ja ajattelisin että hänen kaltainen prinssi joku päivä tulisi valkoisella ratsulla vastaan.
Hahmona Dexter on hyvin moniulotteinen ja hienosti tehty alusta pitäen. Hänen kehityksensä on hidasta, enemmän vain näemme eri puolia hänestä mutta varsinaista kasvua ei tapahdu.

Dexter is my kind of guy because he is a shy nerd. (And it's not a bad thing he happens to be a prince.) I could easily think if I was still a child or teen I'd have a crush on Dexter and would think his kind of prince would some day come with his white horse. 
As a character Dexter is very full and complex and well made from the start. His development however is slow, we mostly just see more sides and layers of him but actual character growth hasn't happened. 

Cerise Hood

Cerise Hood on Punahilkan tytär, mutta ei pelkästään hänen. Perheen suuri salaisuus on että Cerise on myös Pahan Suden tytär samasta sadusta. Hän kuitenkin tulee enemmän äitiinsä, mutta ei ole ilman susimaisia piirteitä. Ohjelmassa hänellä on karvaiset korvat, hän syö lihaa hyvin raakamaisesti, hän on uskomattoman nopea juoksija ja jos hän näkee saaliin tai säikähtää hänen silmänsä muuttuu suden silmiksi ja hän saattaa murista kuin susi. Pitääkseen perheen salaisuuden hän ei koskaan laske punaista huppuaan (hän jopa nukkuu se päässään) ja pyrkii piilottelemaan susimaisia piirteitään kaikessa muussa paitsi syömisessä.
Cerise on Kapinallinen jo taustansa takia, hänenhän ei pitäisi olla olemassa, mutta hän myös miettii millaista elämä olisi jos hän seuraisikin isänsä jalanjälkiä? Cerise on ujo, syrjäänvetäytyvä ja hiljainen luonne joka ei etsi huomiota mutta ystävilleen hän on äärimmäisen lojaali ja kausien kuluessa hänestä on tullut paljon sosiaalisempi ja ulospäinsuuntautuneempi. Hänellä on lemmikkinä sudenpoikanen nimeltä Carmine.

Cerise Hood is the daughter of The Little Red Riding Hood, but not just hers. The big family secret is that she is also the daughter of The Big bad Wolf from the same fairytale. She does come more to her mother but isn't without wolf-like features. In the show she has big, hairy ears, she eats meat almost like an animal, she is incredibly fast runner and if she sees a prey or is startled her eyes become wolf eyes and she might growl like one too. To keep the family secret she never lowers her hood (she even sleeps it on) and she tries to hide her wolf-like features in anything else but in eating. 
Cerise is Rebel because of her parents already, she shouldn't exist, but she also ponders what it would be like if she would follow her father's footsteps? Cerise is shy, introvert and silent nature who doesn't seek attention but to her friends she is extremely loyal. As the Chapters run she has became much more social and outgoing. She has a direwolf as a pet called Carmine.

Ihastuin Cerisen hahmoon heti kun hänet esiteltiin ohjelmassa. Sudet ja salailu kuka oikeasti olet? Helppo samaistua. Upeat vaatteet sekä mielenkiintoinen ajatus hahmona joka jopa kehittyy. Cerise on ehdottomasti yksi suosikkihahmoistani. 

I fell in love with Cerise the moment she was introduced in the show. Wolves and hiding who you are? So easy to identify. Awesome clothes and interesting thought as a character who does evolve. Cerise is absolutely one of my favourite characters.

Kohtalonpäivä / Legacy Day

Kohtalonpäivä on Ever After Highssa koulun tärkein tapahtuma. Tämä on toisena vuotena kun oppilaat julistavat kohtalonsa ja allekirjoittavat kohtalon kirjan, täten maagisesti sitoutuen elämään sadun uudestaan. Kirjassa lapset saivat vanhempiensa kohtalonpäivä puvun johon he perinteisesti pukeutuivat. 

Legacy day is the most important day in Ever After High. This happens on second year when the students pledge to follow their destinies, sign The Storybook of Legends and thus became magically bound to relive the story again. In the book they got their outfit for the day from their parents, the same outfit they wore on their Legacy Day.  

Jotta mentäisiin edes vähän nukkien julkaisujärjestyksessä otetaanhan tämä linja nyt käsittelyyn. Esimmäisessä Legacy Day sarjassa oli kolme nukkea; Apple, Briar ja Raven. 

To go even a bit by the timeline of releases let's take this line to reviews. In the first Legacy Day release was three dolls; Apple, Briar and Raven. 

Hunter Huntsman

Hunter Huntsman on jokaisen metsämiehen poika joka tarinoissa on, kuten Lumikissa ja Punahilkassa. Hän on kapinallinen sillä hän rakastaa eläimiä ja luontoa eikä halua vahingoittaa ketään. Hän on niin huono metsämiehen roolissa että on jopa kasvissyöjä. Hän on... no, arvasitte jo, Ashlynn Ellan salainen poikaystävä.
Annahan avaan hiukan tätä ensimmäistä vaikeaa rakkaustarinaa. Ashlynn on prinsessa ja kuninkaallinen jonka tulee tavata hienoissa juhlissa komea prinssi ja naida tämä. Hunter on pelkkä pienestä mökistä lähtöisin oleva kapinallinen joka ei todellakaan sovi kuninkaalliseen kohtaloon. Heidän ei olisi koskaan kuulunut rakastua ja koulun kireän tilanteen vuoksi kuninkaallinen joka deittailee kapinallista on ehdottomasti jotain joka ei mahdu edes muiden kalloon. Kuitenkin tässä on pari jotka ovat luodut toisilleen.
Hunter on loistava jousimies sekä ystävällinen ja avulias luonne. Hän on jalat maassa -tyyppi vaikka onkin täysi romantikko. Hän on pidetty sekä kuninkaallisten kuin kapinallistenkin keskuudessa. Hän on muiden prinssien hyvä ystävä vaikka suurin osa heistä onkin kuninkaallisia, mutta he kaikki kuuluvat koulun "Bookball" joukkueeseen, joka on Ever Afterin versio amerikkalaisesta jalkapallosta. Hunter on myös huutosakissa! (Miten hän ehtii olla molemmissa? Ensin kentällä, sitten vaihtaa uniformu ja olla huutamassa?)

Hunter Huntsman is the son of every Huntsman from the stories, like in Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood. He is a Rebel as he loves animals and nature and doesn't want to hurt anyone. He is so bad being a Huntsman he is a vegetarian. He is... yeah, you guessed, the secret boyfriend of Ashlynn Ella.
Let me open up a bit of this first, dramatic love story. Ashlynn is a princess and a Royal who should meet a handsome prince in a ball and marry him. Hunter is just a Rebel who comes from a small cottage in woods who royally doesn't fit to the royal destiny. They shouldn't have ever fallen in love and due the tight situation in school a Royal dating a Rebel is an absolute no no no no no. And yet we have a pair who is made for each other.
Hunter is a great archer as well as helpful and friendly guy. He is down-to-earth guy even though he is very romantic. Both Royals and Rebels like him and he is friends with the other princes even though most of them are Royals. They all belong to the school's Bookball team though. It's an Ever After version of American football. Hunter is also a cheerleader! (How he has time for both? First on field, then change uniform and be there cheering?)

Itse ihastuin Hunteriin hyvin pian, juuri tuommoisen miehen kanssa olisi ihana vaellella metsiköissä! Voin kuvitella että minä, Ash ja Hunter oltaisiin ylimmät ystävät. Hunterin lemmikkiorava Pesky on myös ihana ja jotenkin sopii minun pirtaan; hän on omapäinen ja Hunter on hänen kanssaan vähän väliä nahistelemassa vaikka tärkeitä toisilleen ovatkin.

Kirjoissa minusta on huvittavaa kun Hunter syöksyy jonkun apuun hän repii paidan kahtia ja näkymätön fanfaari soi. :D Tietokonepeli nörtti hyväksyy!

I fell for Hunter very soon, he's just the type I'd love to wonder and hike in forests! I could see that me, Ash and Hunter would be best of friends. Hunter's pet squirrel Pesky is also so lovely and speaks to me; he is a strong personality and Hunter is bickering with him a lot even though they are really important to each other.
Despite the picture he is handsome, believe me. 
In the books I find it amusing that when Hunter storms for aid he rips off his shirt and an invisible horns play a tune. :D Gamer nerd approves!

Ashlynn Ella

Aslynn Ella on Tuhkimon tytär ja muista prinsessoista poiketen töissä -missäpä muuallakaan kuin kenkäkaupassa. Hän on aivan hulluna kenkiin. Miltei yhtä hulluna kuin (taas muista prinsessoista poiketen) poikaystäväänsä, mutta hys, se on salaisuus. Koska hän ei kuulu Tuhkimon tarinaan mitenkään.
Ashlynn rakastaa luontoa ja eläimiä syvästi ja viettääkin aikaansa mieluiten Lumotussa Metsässä. Hän on ainut joka oikeasti osaa puhua eläimille ja ymmärtää näitä. Ashlynilla on muutenkin äärimmäisen suuri sydän; hän auttaa mielellään kaikkia jotka apua tarvitsee ja on ystävällinen kaikille. Äidistään poiketen Ash on "aamuprinsessa", eli hänen lumouksensa rikkoutuu keskipäivällä keskiyön sijasta. Hänen vaatteensa myös muuttuvat ryysyiksi jos hän myöhästyy jostain, esimerkiksi tunnilta.

Ashlynn Ella is the daughter of Cinderella and differing from other princesses she works -where ever but in a shoe store. She is crazy about shoes. Almost as crazy as (again differing from other princesses) about her boyfriend but hush, it's a secret. He doesn't belong to the Cinderella story at all. 
Ashlynn loves nature and animals deeply and loves to spend time in the Enchanted Forest. She is the only one who can truly talk to animals and understand them. She has anyway a huge heart; she gladly helps anyone and is friendly towards everyone. Differing from her mother she is more of a "morning princess" and her spell breaks in midday instead of midnight. Her clothes also turns to rags if she is late, for example from class. 

Ashlynn oli ensimmäinen hahmo johon samaistuin hyvin vahvasti. Metsää ja eläimiä rakastava uuttera työntekijä? Joo, kuulostaa tutulta. Vaikka hahmonkehitys on hänen kohdallaan ollut loppujenlopuksi hyvin vähäistä Ash on edelleen yksi suosikkihahmoistani. Hänen nukkensa on myös eräitä suosikkinukkejani, Ashlynn on vain uskomaton, luonnollinen kaunotar. Tykkään ajatella että hänen sisäinen kauneutensa pursuaa ulos niin vahvasti että se on syy miksi hän on maassa kaunehin. ;)

Ashlynn was the first character I identified strongly with. A hard worker who loves animals and forests? Yeah, sounds familiar. Even though the character development with her has been... well, almost hasn't been she is still one of my favourite characters. Her dolls are also one of my favourite dolls. Ashlynn just is an incredible natural beauty. I like to think the beauty she holds inside shines through and that's why she's the fairest of them all. ;)

Madeline Hatter

Madeline Hatter, Maddie lyhennettynä on Hullun Hatuntekijän tytär Ihmemaasta. Hän on neljäs päähahmo joihin tutustumme heti ensimmäisenä. Maddien tulevaisuus on siis olla seuraava Hullu Hatuntekijä ja hän rakastaa rooliaan ja tulevaisuuttaan, mutta koska hänen mielestään jokainen saa tehdä mitä heidän sydän sanoo oikeaksi, hän on Kapinalinen. Maddie on "hullu", hän kuulee kertojat ja voi kiistellä heidän kanssaan (vain Kitty Chesire hänen kanssaan voi kuulla kertojat), hän tekee spontaaneja asioita kuten hyppää korkealta jonkun huoneeseen seinän läpi koska hän ei tiedä sen olevan mahdotonta. Jos hän kuulee ettei se ole mahdollista hän ei voi tehdä sitä enää toiste. Hän voi vetää hatustaan kokonaisen teepöydän tarjoiluineen ja istahtaa teelle lemminkinsä Earl Grey - hiiren kanssa. Hän joskus vetää hatustaan suunnilleen mitä vain. Maddie rakastaa knock knock -vitsejä ja kuulee ja huomaa asioita mitä monet eivät, hän voi myös nähdä välähdyksiä tulevaisuudesta. Hänen "hulluutensa" on hyvin sidonnainen Ihmemaan taikaan jota päästetään jossain määrin Ever Afteriin ja jos tämä side heikkenee heikkenee myös hänen voimansa ja hän itse. Maddie on peruspersoonaltaan kuplivan iloinen. Häntä on kuvattu "Vaikka hänelle jaettaisiin korteissa millainen käsi tahansa hän käyttäytyy kuin hän ei ikinä häviäisi".

Madeline Hatter, Maddie for short, is the daughter of the Mad Hatter from Wonderland. She is the fourth main character we meet first. Maddie's future is to be the next Mad Hatter and she loves her role and future but as she thinks everyone should do as their heart says she is labelled Rebel. Maddie is "mad", she can hear the narrators (only Kitty Cheshire with her can hear them), she does spontaneous things like jumps from high to land through wall because she doesn't know it's impossible. If she hears it's impossible she can't do it again. She can pull out from her hat a full set tea table and sit down to tea with her dormmouse Earl Grey. Sometimes she pulls whatever from her hat. Maddie loves knock knock -jokes, hears and notices things that others cannot and she can see flashes from the future. Her "madness" is tied to the Wonderland magic that is released in small amounts to Ever After and if it grows this so does her powers and herself. Maddie is from her basic personality bubbly and happy. She has been described "No matter what kind of hand she gets in cards, she acts like she's never dealt a losing hand".

Maddie on hahmo joka sai minut ihastumaan ohjelmaan. Olen ain pitänyt Alicen seikkailuista Ihmemaasta ja pitänyt hullusta hatuntekijästä ja minusta hänen tyttärestään on tehty aivan loistava hahmo. Vaikka hän onkin aina iloinen ja positiivinen miltei ärsyttävyyteen asti, hänestä löytyy myös vakava, sympaattinen, surullinen, sarkastinen ja vihainen puoli. Toivoisin että hänen tunneskaalaansa näytettäisiin lisää ohjelmassa eikä häntä pidettäisi vain koomisena lisänä.

Maddie is the character that made me fall for the show. I have always loves Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter and I think her daughter has been made an absolutely brilliant character. Even though she is always happy and positive until the verge of annoyance, she has also shown serious, symphatic, sad, sarcastic and mad side. I just wish they'd show more of her scale in the show and would not just keep her as a comedy relief. 

Briar Beauty

Briar Beauty on Prinsessa Ruususen tytär ja Apple White:n paras ystävä. Hän on ensimmäisiä perushahmoja ohjelmassa joihin tutustumme. Hänen tulevaisuutensa on siis nukkua sata vuotta ja nykyhetkellä hän saattaa nukahtaa milloin vain, mihin vain. Tästä on kuitenkin se etu että nukkuessaan hän voi kuulla äärimmäisen kauas asti. Hän on yksi tärkeimmistä kuninkaallisista joka on myös Ever Afterin pätevin juhlien järjestäjä ja hän rakastaa järjestää juhlia aiheesta kuin aiheesta. Hänen mottonsa on "Jos vedän sikeitä sata vuotta, minun on elettävä nyt.". Hän harrastaa extreme -urheilulajeja yhtä lailla kuin kuninkaallista rentoutumista.

Briar Beauty is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and Apple White's best friend. She is one of the main character we get to know first. Her future is to sleep 100 years and this day she might doze off anytime, anywhere. She has the power to hear extremely far during her sleep, so it's not all bad. She is one of the most important Royals who is also the best party planner in Ever After and loves to throw them. Her motto is "If I'll be catching Z's for a hundred years, I gotta live it up now!". She is into extreme sports as much as royal relaxation.

Briar oli minusta hieman liian stereotyypinen Amerikkalainen rusketuksessa käyvä sormiaan napsutteleva juhlija. Pintaliitotypy ja jees -mies Applelle. Hän on kuitenkin humoristinen ja fiksu, erittäin kova opiskelija milloin ei nuku tunneilla. Briar on tyyppi esimerkki siitä että ulkokuori pettää ja pahasti, ensivaikutus ei ole todellakaan mitä on luvassa. ;)

Briar was too stereotypical American, tanned, finger snapping party girl. High society flier and yes -man to Apple. She however is humoristic and smart and studies hard when she doesn't sleep on class. Briar is a book case of how looks and the first impression really isn't what's going to come. ;)

Apple White

Apple White, Lumikin tytär, seuraava kuningatar joka hallitsee Ever After:ia, on toinen päähahmoista ohjelmassa. Hänen tulevaisuutensa on tulla myrkytetyksi, herätä upean prinssin suudelmaan, nousta valtaan ja elää elämänsä onnellisesti loppuun saakka. Hänen elämänsä suunnilleen romahti kun Raven alkoi kapinoimaan sillä ilman häntä Apple ei saisi omaa onnellista loppuaan. Apple on kuninkaallisten johtaja ja yrittää puhua Ravenia koko ajan ympäri että hän ymmärtäisi että kaikkien on elettävä esikirjoitettu elämä sellaisena kuin se on annettu. Hän on ensimmäinen blondi Lumikki ja hyvin innokas opiskelija sillä hän haluaa osoittaa että hän on muutakin kuin vain kaunis ulkokuori.

Apple White, daughter of the Snow White, the next queen who will rule the Ever After, is the second main character in the show. Her future would be to get poisoned, wake up to handsome prince's kiss, rise to rule and live happily ever after. Her life about collapsed when Raven started to rebel as without her Apple would never get her happy ending. Apple is the leader of Royals and is trying to speak Raven back to her place so that she would understand how everybody should live their prewritten life as it is given. She is the first blonde Snow White and an excellent student as she wants to prove she is more than just a pretty face.

Noin koko ensimmäisen kauden Apple oli yksi hahmoista joista en pitänyt. Itsekäs ja kapeakatseinen, piloille hellitelty kakara. Mutta koko EAH ohjelman läpi hän on hahmo joka on kasvanut eniten persoonana, kehittynyt ja kypsynyt. Hän on edelleen aika ajoin ärsyttävä pikku neiti täydellisyys mutta hahmonkehityksen kannalta hän vie (siinäkin) voiton. Hänen tulevaisuuttaan ajatellen hänestä olisi tullut kamala kuningatar jos hän olisi pysynyt sellaisena kuin ohjelman alussa, mutta kaiken mitä hän on oppinut ja ymmärtänyt on valmistanut häntä myös hallitsemaan kuningaskuntaa paremmin.

About the whole Season One Apple was one of characters I liked the least. Selfish and narrow-minded, a spoiled brat. But throughout the show she is the character that has grown the most as a person, evolved and matured. She is still sometimes annoying little Miss Perfect, but thinking of character development she takes win (also there). Thinking of her future she would have became horrible queen if she would have stayed as she was in start, but all she has learnt and understood has prepared her to rule the kingdom better.
